The motion controller of the range. Thirty-two real axes plus up to sixty-four virtual, synchronised to within 80 nanoseconds, with electronic cam and gear profiles and both linear and circular interpolation built in rather than bolted on.

A CODESYS-based controller for line-level automation, fully compliant with IEC 61131-3 and PLCopen. Four processor cores can be assigned by task, eight axes synchronise on a 1 ms bus cycle, and the TRACE function with breakpoint debugging makes fault-finding on a live line far less painful.

Remote I/O for when the signals are a long way from the controller. A VH-RTU-ECT or VH-RTU-PN head takes up to sixteen modules and drops them onto EtherCAT or PROFINET, cutting the cabinet space needed by roughly two thirds against running everything back to a central rack.
